Alex Nieto
Alex Nieto (Madrid, 1988) is one of the most promising rising talents in the American comic book scene. He’s currently the artist on Hellboy in Love: The Art of Fire, a brand-new miniseries published by Dark Horse Comics, written by Christopher Golden and set in the universe created by Mike Mignola.
With a background in Fine Arts, Alex began drawing comics during his college years, heavily inspired by legends like Moebius and Mignola himself.
His first published work was a short story in Refugiados (Spaceman Project), a charity anthology. Soon after, he released titles like La invocación de Ion and Beyond—his first project as both writer and artist.
Alex made his the U.S. comics debut in 2023 with Locust, a post-apocalyptic story written by Massimo Rossi. He later illustrated Big Under (404 Cómics), created for the French-speaking market.
His recent dive into the Hellboy universe marks a major milestone in his career. He’s now developing several high-profile projects for the American market—Stay tuned!
