Angel Unzueta

Star Wars, Poe Dameron, The Avengers, Captain America, Titans, Green Lantern, The Flash, Iron Man, Deathstroke, Legion of Super-Heroes, Wolverine, Wonder Woman…The Spanish illustrator and comic artist Ángel Unzueta has worked on some of the most iconic titles from the major American publishers, DC and Marvel.

Active since 1993, Ángel Unzueta belongs to the second wave of Spanish authors who managed to establish themselves and stand out in the American market. Furthermore, he was a pioneer in the use of digital tools in the Spanish comic industry and has a rich history in the European market, with notable works like Face D’Ange, Chasseurs de Religues or his recent Historias de Ulis, a graphic fable with which he debuted as a full-fledged author in 2022.

Currently, Unzueta is the regular artist for the Defiant series in the Star Trek universe, published by IDW, with Christopher Cantwell on the script.
