David Lafuente

David Lafuente is a Spanish-born comic book creator from Gijón. He has garnered widespread acclaim for his intense inks, dynamic storytelling, and unique style on books such as Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book, Superman, Radiant Red, and Sinister Sons, which he co-created.

David exploded onto the American comics scene in 2008, illustrating the Marvel Comics sleeper-hit miniseries Patsy Walker: Hellcat, written by Kathryn Immonen. He then relaunched Ultimate Comics Spider-Man with Brian Michael Bendis.

Recent books by David include Spider-Ham, Superman, Harley Quinn, the breakout bestselling Image Comics series Radiant Black, the hot new Eisner-nominated series Radiant Red and the comic Knight Terrors: Batman that made it to the top 10 sellers of 2023.

Lafuente has also recently amazed with his alternative covers for other books, including the Eisner Award-winning series The Nice House on the Lake.

David is well known for his flawless pencils and masterful inks, and is considered one of the most talented visual storytellers in today’s American comic book industry. Nowadays, he splits his time between making comics and doing visual development for video games and animation.
