David Lafuente
Illustrator, concept artist, comic book creator, YouTuber… David Lafuente, from Asturias, is one of the most versatile talents in the comic book industry. With a unique style, exceptionally clean lines, and an unmatched storytelling ability, his bibliography includes standout titles such as The Graveyard Book, Flash, Spider-Man, and Sinister Sons, which he co-created.
David broke into the American comics scene in 2008, illustrating the Marvel Comics miniseries Patsy Walker: Hellcat, written by Kathryn Immonen. He later played a key role in the successful relaunch of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man alongside Brian Michael Bendis.
Among David’s most recent series are Spider-Ham, Superman, Harley Quinn, the bestselling Image Comics series Radiant Black and its spin-off Radiant Red, as well as the comic Knight Terrors: Batman, the best-selling title of 2023 in the United States.
Lafuente has also created some of the most sought-after variant covers for other series, including Racer-X and the Eisner Award-winning The Nice House on the Lake.
Today, he divides his work between making comics and visual development for videogames and animation.
Above all, David loves cats and depressing memes.
