Fernando Pasarín
With nearly two decades under his belt at DC Comics and a successful career in the Franco-Belgian market, Spanish artist Fernando Pasarín has cemented his place as one of DC’s most recognizable illustrators.
He’s especially beloved by Green Lantern fans, thanks to his extensive run alongside Peter J. Tomasi on series like Green Lantern Corps and Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors.
Pasarín’s bibliography also includes standout titles such as JSA, Brightest Day, Countdown, Tangent: Superman’s Reign, and Justice League: The Darkseid War: Batman. He’s also tackled DC staples like Detective Comics, Batman Eternal, and Batgirl with writer Gail Simone.
In recent years, he’s brought his talents to Christopher Priest’s Deathstroke, Robert Venditti’s Hawkman, and Jeremy Adams’ Flash. Most recently, he reunited with Adams on new projects for Green Lantern and the launch of Green Lantern Corps.
Pasarín’s love for comics goes all the way back to his childhood, when he picked up a copy of Fantastic Four featuring John Byrne’s legendary “Trial of Galactus” storyline. That single issue, he admits, didn’t just turn him into a lifelong fan—it set him on the path to becoming an artist himself.
