Since the announcement of Javi Fernández and Belén Ortega’s appearance at the Dallas Fan Expo, we have received many requests for information about the commission lists of these two titans… And it’s finally time for the official opening of applications!

So, as we know you are eager, we will be brief: the list will officially open on Wednesday May 23rd, 20.00h CET, 2 PM East Coast, 11 AM West Coast (30 minutes earlier for our newsletter subscribers).

How can I get a commission by Belén Ortega or Javi Fernández?

At the end of this post you will find a form, which you will have to fill in to make your application from 20.00h CET, 2 PM East Coast, 11 AM West Coast The available commissions will be granted in first-come first-served basis, and we will only accept those completely filled in and received after this time. Applications received before 20.00h CET, 2 PM East Coast, 11 AM West Coast even a few seconds before, will not be accepted.

EXCEPT in case you are a newsletter subscriber, in which case you will be able to send your request 30 minutes earlier. :^)

How will I know if I got a slot?

Over the next few days we will contact by email all those who apply for a slot, to notify you if you have been lucky or will have to wait for the next time. You will receive an email in all cases, so be sure to add our email hello@thegreenroomcomicart.com to your contacts to avoid our email ending up in spam, please. :^)

Thank you in advance for your patience with our response, as we are expecting a large number of requests and it might take us some time to respond to all of them.

When can I pick up my commission?

Commissions ordered for the Dallas Fan Expo can be picked up during the weekend of the event, preferably on Sunday, to give our artists extra time to finalize your commission. If you have any limitations in this regard, please let us know when placing your request so we can take it into account.

Will I get a sketch before the commission is done?

Our artists feel more comfortable giving free rein to their creativity during the whole process and prefer to have total freedom in the creative stage. For this reason, it won’t be possible to receive a sketch, although you will be able to provide them with previous indications so that they can design your commission.

When and how do I have to make the payment?

No payment is required until the artist delivers your commission. You will receive further payment instructions when we confirm your slot (if you are lucky!)

Can I have someone pick the commission up for me in Dallas?

As long as it is picked up on site and you let us know in advance who will pick it up on your behalf, there is no problem. However, on this occasion we will not accept orders for shipment: only those that can be picked up during the event.
