LAKE COMO Comic Art Festival: Javi Fernández & Belén Ortega’s Commission list openings!
The Lake Como is, no doubt, one of our favorite Comic Art Festivals worldwide. The reasons for this are numerous, but one stands out above all: the proximity with which one can approach the artists and chat with them without haste. A lineup that every year brings together some of the best creators on Earth and that this year 2024 will include the TGR squad members, Javi Fernández and Belén Ortega, who are opening a very limited list of commissions for this event… with killer options for all budgets, ranging from quick sketches to hyper-detailed quality cover options!
The best part? Our subscribers will be able to request their spot earlier than anyone else, one more time! So… set your alarms and get ready for this unique opportunity, coming this Friday, January 26th, 20:00h CET, 2 PM East Coast, 11 AM West Coast (30 minutes earlier for our newsletter subscribers).
And… Just for you to know! :^) Our creators might be selecting a few additional pieces depending on the requests they like the most or the characters they are more into, regardless of the order of submission. So, don’t worry if you don’t claim your spot at the specified time: you’ll still have an opportunity to get into their list!
That said, let’s get down to the important information. :^)

Our creators might be selecting a few additional pieces depending on the requests they like the most or the characters they are more into, regardless of the order of submission. So, don’t worry if you don’t claim your spot at the specified time: you’ll still have an opportunity to get into their list!
How will I know if I got a slot?
Over the next few days we will contact by email all those who apply for a slot, to notify you if you have been lucky or will have to wait for the next time. You will receive an email in all cases, so be sure to add our email email@example.com to your contacts to avoid our email ending up in spam, please. :^)
Thank you in advance for your patience with our response, as we are expecting a large number of requests and it might take us some time to respond to all of them.
When can I pick up my commission?
Commissions ordered for Lake Como Comic Art Festival can be picked up during the weekend of the event. If you have any limitations in this regard and, for example, you are attending just one day, please let us know when placing your request so we can take it into account.
Will I get a sketch before the commission is done?
Our artists feel more comfortable giving free rein to their creativity during the whole process and prefer to have total freedom in the creative stage. For this reason, it won’t be possible to receive a sketch, although you will be able to provide them with previous indications so that they can design your commission.
When and how do I have to make the payment?
Usually, no payment or just an small deposit is required until the artist delivers your commission. You will receive further payment instructions when we confirm your slot (if you are lucky!)
Can I have someone pick the commission up for me?
As long as it is picked up on site and you let us know in advance who will pick it up on your behalf, there is no problem. However, on this occasion we will not accept orders for shipment: only those that can be picked up during the event.
