Valerio Schiti

Valerio Schiti is one of the greatest contemporary Italian comic artists and, no doubt, one of the most prolific. Internationally recognized for his work at Marvel Comics, his bibliography includes titles such as Iron Man, New Avengers, Empyre, and his latest success, the series G.O.D.S.

A graduate in architecture, Schiti studied at the International School of Comics in Rome under the guidance of David Messina. His professional debut in the American market came in 2010 with a story included in Angel #37, published by IDW, followed by titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles micro series: Donatello and Battle Beasts.

During this time, he met C. B. Cebulski at a European convention, who, impressed by his dynamism and narrative ability, opened Marvel’s doors for him with a story in Ghost Rider.

2012 marked his first major success as the lead artist on Journey into Mystery. This led to work on iconic series such as Mighty Avengers, New Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy (and to get his first exclusive contract).

Recognized as an All-new Young Gun in 2014, other Marvel titles Valerio Schiti has worked on in recent years include Avengers A.I., Mighty Thor, Marvel 2 in One, and, among others, Tony Stark: Iron Man. Additionally, we have recently seen his art in three major Marvel events: Empyre, X-Men: Inferno, and A.X.E.: Judgment Day.

Currently, Schiti works with Jonathan Hickman on G.O.D.S., the mini-series that reimagines Marvel mythology.

By the way, the legend is true: He is one of the biggest fans of the Fantastic Four. :^)
