
David López
David López is a Spanish comic artist born in Gran Canaria, Spain, known for his amazing character design and ability to create some of the most incredible cover art in the industry. He has been nominated for some of the most renowned industry awards, including the Eisner Awards and the Harvey Awards for his art on Mystic.
After achieving international attention as a fanzine artist, in 2000 he began working for DC Comics. He quickly gained recognition for his series Fallen Angel (co-created with Peter David) and his lengthy 30-issue run on Catwoman.
His work at Marvel Comics includes Spider-Man, X-Men, Hawkeye&Mockingbird and All New Wolverine, among others. And, moreover, his iconic character design in the Captain Marvel series served as inspiration for the 2019 Marvel Studios film.
After the success of his creator-owned graphic novel Blackhand & Ironhead, David López is now working on his new series FML while also creating covers for top-selling titles, including Marvel’s Star Wars or Spider Gwen.
David loves role-playing games and is known to be an excellent Dungeon Master. Also, he is proud to have published some of the most popular game- based Inktobers and artbooks out there.
He also runs a YouTube channel (with The Green Room artist David Lafuente) called Streaming de Dibujantes.
